Yesterday evening I went to get acupuncture done on my hip for the first time. I was nervous, but excited because ever since I’ve had hip issues the idea of acupuncture has been tossed around as a possible help, so I finally took the reins and scheduled an appt. Everyone speaks so highly of it, but I still didn’t really know what to expect. Initially it hurts, like um – a needle going into your skin/muscle. Why did I think that no pain was involved? A couple of needles throbbed dully the whole time they were in and when a couple of the hip needles were removed at the end, they held onto the scar tissue like they were glued there. The overall experience was weird. The results are minimal and a bit promising, but my hip was so sore this morning where the needle was in the most scar tissue. Lame. I have to go twice a week for a while. I hope my experience gets more positive the more I go, otherwise, I’m not sold on this whole needle releasing tension thing.
Question: Is this dress too much orange?
There were moments where I felt like “I’m wearing a whole dress of orange and I’m rocking it, dontcha wish you were me for a moment?”, and others where I felt “I’m a walking traffic cone, just get to your office so you can sit down and hide all this orange:”
Don’t get me wrong, this is one of my favorite color oranges – but it feels like A LOT - An orange commitment if you will.
I’m putting too much thought into this… I like the color, I like the ruffles + pleating and I like that the buttons close and don’t pucker over my bust. A bit pricey at $8.80 for the Salvation Army, I still think it was a good buy. Maybe the next time I wear it, I won’t feel so awkward.
Happy hump day – I can’t wait for Friday 5pm…

LOVE this! I hide in my office when I am unsure of a "risky" outfit too. Usually a few hours in I forget all about it and realize it was all in my head.
I think that's a perfect orange shade! No such thing as too much orange! I'm all about bright colors, thought my own wardrobe doesn't seem to reflect it that much. I definitely want to invest in brighter pieces and accessories for the Spring!
I ADORE that dress!! The color rocks, and the details are super cute! The shoes and socks are just perfect with it too! You are totally rocking this outfit! Um, good luck with the acupuncture... I respect your ability to go through with it though, needles are not my friend! :)
